Patch 1.31 for the Euro/American Truck Simulator series is around the corner. With it, some new features are added in the game. With extensions still developed for both games, it seems SCS Software plans to keep their engine still relevant for long.  Patch 1.31 is currently in public beta and may release anytime soon.  The patch covers several areas. Graphics are improved with new realistic mirror implementation, and trailers now featuring animated cables.  Gameplay-wise, new filters allow you to search more easily thru contract offers. The GPS gets some improvement with more accurate data. Mod designer will receive a new “brush” tool for map creation, although it may require some adaptations for current mods, and may break the oldest one.

 

Random Events in Europe

There is always a lot of things happening in the old continent. ETS2 will now features random events. These goes from the regular small car accident to more impressive burnt vehicles or plane emergency landings. To explore Europe with heavy haul, the drivers will now get an 8×4 Chassis for the Scania R and S.

More Heavy Cargo roads in 1.31

Along with these improvement, owners of Euro Truck Sim: Special cargo DLC will get some more missions and routes to complete. Meanwhile, work continues on a special version for American Truck Simulator, but no release date stated yet.

 

 

 

 

A new Road thru Yosemite Park

 

American Truck Simulator owner will get a new road to explore. The CA-120, going thru the Yosemite Park, is now linking Oakdale and Carson City. The road goes thru mountains and contains some specific regulation for trucking.
