To be X-Plane ORBX airport Meigs Field in Prepar3D

Today, in the midst of a slight PR fumble, ORBX released screenshots of their research and development work for their MSFS and P3D Netherlands addon containing scenes of X-Plane. It was apparently used for visualization of scenes using OSM generated building facades and orthoimagery. The shots were released originally without specifically describing the platform or purpose. This led to the X-Plane community calling it out and shortly after John Venema the CEO of ORBX clarified on the situation and opened up on the development for X-Plane as follows.

“I guess the cat is out of the bag that Orbx is developing for XP (I revealed this in a recent interview at Cosford FlightSim show), and I would be interested to hear if there is interest in a NetherlandsXP as a payware product with all the usual Orbx 3D POIs modelled etc?”

After another user inquired on ORBX airports.
“Oh the airports are coming, that is an active project which Ed Correia is leading for us. It won’t be all of them but certainly a bunch, starting with Meigs Field which is done.”
